Got this the other day and it's worth sharing. You can guess how it came about but how about who it came from… “Just the other day I ggeoreferenced an orthophosphate…”

On those long print runs - ever start to wonder what is being stuck to the pages to make your map? Printer toner is mostly powdered plastic—and that’s key to the whole technology http://www.wired.com/2015/03/whats-inside-printer-toner/

The ONZ Mapping Committee is about to embark on a project to categorise this thread (and a couple of smaller related threads). This means for example that if you are interested in sprint mapping you could more easily find relevant contributions.
ONZ has provided a tool to hold the 30-ish mapping sub-topics. It is a wiki, one aspect of this is that the contents may be changed by any registered user, although this is not envisaged here. What you said is what you said; and there is plenty of scope to add another view, to challenge and disagree. Changes are in fact tracked and can be un-done by an admin user.
We hope this will increase the sharing of knowledge about orienteering mapping. If any contributor to the mapping topics has any concerns, please contact michael (dot) wood (at) mapsport.co.nz.
